For more information, please visit (please use the apply button below) Director Brand Strategy Marketing, reports directly to the Vice President Brand & Acquisition Marketing.T-Mobile is seeking an entrepreneurial, creative and analytical brand marketer to develop and drive the brand strategy. S/he will be responsible for igniting growth through traditional, digital and trade initiatives as well as a wide range of marketing activities to help drive awareness, trial and conversion. The Director, Brand Strategy requires an individual with a passion for brands and customers, as well as a willingness to move fast and think big. The successful candidate will be comfortable with ambiguity, have strong attention to detail, and be motivated by a fast-paced start up environment. The ideal candidate will have previous consumer insights experience, CPG brand management background, and experience in the consumer technology and/or agency/brand planning background. S/he will know how to define a brand strategy, positioning and execution priorities; and will be comfortable thinking big and diving deep. The Director will possess a thorough understanding of marketing as a science and art, and know how to use one to inform the other.This role works closely with senior executives, helping leadership answer the most pressing strategic questions that impact and influence customer acquisition. S/he will provide a comprehensive analysis of competitive environment and external trends to transform competitive landscape and address risks and opportunities for T-Mobile. It is expected that this position will blend strong strategy capabilities with hands-on, tactical execution. The Brand Strategy Director will be able to engage with T-Mobile Leadership to pressure test existing strategy and performance against best competitive benchmarks. This role will champion new initiatives, lead strategy projects and facilitate dialogue with the stakeholders to enable significant impact on the direction and performance of customer acquisition.While the quality and accomplishments of a person's career will be the determining factor, the finalist must have the following requisite qualifications: Bachelor degree is required; graduate level degree strongly desired.Minimum of 10 years in CPG, consumer technology and/or consumer brand marketing. Combination of agency & client experience is preferred.Proven experience owning and/or planning for mass media with expertise in TV media. Versed in above the line tactics including radio, sponsorships, social, etc.Demonstration of creativity and collaboration to further the brand vision with proven track record of innovation in a highly competitive landscape Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills with ability to influence and build strong working relationships at all levels Confident, driven, self-starter with ability to work autonomously. Able to thrive in an ambiguous environment helping bring structure and delivering results.Outstanding writing, presentation and communication skills Strong analytical skills including the ability to distill, synthesize, and draw conclusions on large amounts of data Demonstrated ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication with superior ROI-from business case development through deployment Aptitude for being organized with flexibility and for delivering results in a fast-paced environment.The successful candidate will possess the following attributes: Structured & Logical Thinking: The ability to identify and define business problems and issues, and develop strategic, analytical, and financial frameworks to conduct analysis. Analytical Rigor: Proven capability managing and interpreting quantitative analysis including primary and secondary research as well as marketing and business performance ; management of brand health and equity metrics.Turning Data To Insights: Demonstrated experience using hard data and metrics to measure performance and make adjustments accordingly Stakeholder management: strong facilitation skills, ability to work up, down and across the organization is a collaborative, inclusive and productive manner More specifically, this role will assume the following responsibilities: Own brand strategy for customer acquisition including brand objectives, messaging, positioning, competitive response, marketing plans, etc.Author inspiring creative briefs.
