Responsibilities

Verizon has an exciting Senior Manager – Postpaid Media Strategy role in the Corporate Marketing Organization. They will report into the Director of Media Strategy and collaborate within our Corporate Marketing Organization, our Business Units and our Internet Sales Operations teams driving demand for postpaid consumer initiatives. This role will be primarily responsible for supporting all postpaid consumer media and managing all initiatives within that including Device launches & Pricing promotions across National and Local media.

The ideal candidate for this role must have strong experience and skills in the following:

  • Media strategy including how to develop communications strategy using all media touchpoints (Digital & Traditional media)
  • Leading media teams and/or managing agencies that support multiple programs at one time (eg. Devices, Pricing launches & Promos)
  • Improving media effectiveness across channels especially in digital such as programmatic
  • Deep analytical skills to ensure media is driving business performance
  • Understanding of data sources to ensure the internal and agency teams can connect the right data sources to drive performance decisions (i.e. audience targeting via DMP)

Primary responsibilities:

  • Lead integrated Media Strategy for consumer postpaid initiatives including:
    • Device launches (iPhone, GS8, Pixel, Moto)
    • Pricing promotions (Unlimited)
    • Promos, including ATL & BTL media
  • Support Local promos in key markets to drive growth of retail traffic
  • Driving Store & Digital traffic to support demand across all channels including traditional and digital media
  • Lead reporting readouts and partner with Marketing Effectiveness team to improve media efficiency
  • Developing strategies to increase growth against key segments including Status Multicultural, Millennial Value Streamer & Millennial Quality Streamer
  • Working with GTM & Digital Ops to develop specific promos to overdrive postpaid demand
  • Work closely with Creative, IMC & Agency teams to develop a consistent communications strategy and ensure alignment across campaigns
  • Managing a team to support all national postpaid efforts

Qualifications

Must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or six or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Media Strategy experience.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • Experience: Six or more years of experience in driving successful media strategies that had a direct impact on sales growth
  • Certifications: Additional Media courses a bonus
  • Wireless Experience: Knowledge of wireless products & services a plus
  • Other: Client or Media Agency experience within a direct response capacity
  • Prior work experience inspiring others in work group to achieve team goals including experience with expertise knowledge transfer.
  • Prior work experience guiding a team of direct reports to achieve performance goals and objectives preferred.
