The West Region Operations is looking for a resourceful and experienced individual to help shape the technical direction of the team.

The vision of the West Region Network Operations team is: Develop an efficient and flexible working environment This regional engineering position will be working to provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) level representation to our markets.

This position seeks an individual who is experienced in field and/or switch operations with strong expertise in ERICSSON and NOKIA radio access background and Ericsson Core as a major plus.

As an advocate for the regional team, this engineer would provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineers and technicians who are diagnosing and repairing issues or improving the T-Mobile GSM, UMTS or Data Networks.

Strong communications and cross functional skills are a must, as this engineer will interact with internal and external groups such as markets, Network Operations Center (NOC), other regional teams, Field Services Center (HQ), National Validation (NVQA), various Tier 2 groups, and Vendors.

Duties of this engineer could include but not limited to Asset Loss Management (ALM) tracking, Subject Matter Expert (SME) level troubleshooting assistance, Electromagnetic Energy (EME) Reporting, Emergency Management expertise, and most importantly Process Standardization and Training for the markets.

Support market efforts to improve network availability by providing reporting and actionable insights as well as helping to determine root cause and identify solutions of availability issues.

This person is also responsible for investigating and helping the markets to resolve site alarm issues and trouble tickets.

Supports the markets in tools, test equipment, disaster preparedness new products and service for network hardening and as well as network performance.

Additional Job Description The candidate should be very strong in database management, track the Performance KPIs (Operations), run SQL query, scripting and be able to present strategies to the Leadership team.

Additionally, deliver all new products and services (voice, data and core) to Market Operations (Field and Switch) in compliance with release planning guidelines and reliability standards.

Manages all operations support documents, and ensures that all applicable network management systems are integrated and tested prior to launch.

Certifies that all reliability goals are met by reviewing design documents and augmenting the design and operator interfaces if required.

Formalizes best practices across the region, and serves as a subject matter expert in network key performance indicators (KPIs).Minimum Required Must have good interpersonal skills and be able to build consensus across teams Experienced in the use of different programming languages and programming methodology The following languages are a minimum: SQL/.net/C++, C# or Java/Python/XML/Unix Experience in multi-group projects Utilization of SW management tools, such as GIT Strong in Technical Writing and presentation skills Able to develop and articulate technical strategies Self-motivated and able to work well under pressure Strong problem solving/troubleshooting skills Legally authorized to work in the United States Desired Mastery of Ericsson and Nokia OSS, configuration command structure and deployment configurations Understanding of End to End (Ue to Core) signaling/userplane and configuration Experienced in GSM, UMTS and LTE technology Telecom Operator standard operations method of work procedures Technical project management, experience in SCRUM/Agile workflows Research and published technical papers Big data analytics 8-10+ years Computer Engineering experience 2+ years RAN Engineering experience Education Minimum Required Bachelor's Degree.

Engineering, Computer Science or related In lieu of degree, experience within telecom industry may be considered Requires competency in customer focus, effective communication, change & innovation, strategic thinking, relationship building & influencing, talent management, results focus and inspirational leadership.

Must be able to work in multi-function team that may extend across multiple geographic regions and time zones Ensures new releases and features are clearly communicated to engineering teams and appropriate training is provided to maximize value Interpret technical specifications in accordance with Wireless industry standards, including: 3GPP, ITUT, IETF, ANSI and vendor documentation Acts as a mentor for junior Engineering staff.
