  • Work with the telecommunication wireless vendors to track progress of the orders, and escalate within the carrier organization when needed to insure timely and accurate delivery of services.  Keep the internal requesting customer informed of order progress and alert the customer if there are issues. When an order has been completed, work with the telecommunication wireless vendor to properly close out the order, then accurately enter the information into the inventory tool, and provide the requested wireless services information to the internal customer.
  • As this position will interact with a variety of customers/suppliers serving as a liaison between Duke Energy and the wireless providers, the candidate should have broad knowledge of wireless data services, and fundamental understanding of IP Addressing and data security.
  • The candidate will be asked to participate with existing and emerging projects to provide consultation to those teams based historical usage trends, support and procurement processes, and on current wireless carrier relationships, technologies and contracts.  Candidate will also provide input into the wireless carrier contract negotiation processes.
  • Assist with monthly billing reviews for wireless data services to ensure that devices are on the appropriate rate plan, adjust rate plan assignments as necessary to eliminate or reduce cellular overage costs, validate that vendors have properly priced the services and that the telemetry inventory reflects the services and pricing accurately.  Work with the vendor billing department when billing information is in error.

Develop internal processes that define the lifecycle processes (establish service, make changes and disconnect services), ensure accuracy and manage costs of services, and maintain the accuracy of the circuit inventory.  It is expected that these processes are continually evaluated so that processes are efficient
